Would you be prepared to have Phorm-like tracking on your ISP if they continued to offer P2P and video streaming services for free?
I remember rumblings from Chinwag Live's Web TV event with ISPs seriously considering charging extra for high-bandwidth web apps. Perhaps this is a fair trade off?
I understand the issue only too well, but think I'd like the option to pay for no tracking + big bandwidth first.
Maybe because I do understand what is possible and what a "black hat" player could do, I am very keen on controlling my digital footprint as much as possible. |
