I was there, and the lynch mob sat patiently through most of it, despite amazing provocation. The crowd was well behaved for at least 45 minutes of that train wreck.
@Mike - well, if it is then it's failed miserably then so far! Gissa Link
@Jasper the lynch mob I was referring to were those writing about it (incl on Twitter) - the "instant media" set. Some were there, some just appear to be link baiting Well you got on techmeme for it
@ Mike - its not too late - you can write the masterful "summing it all up post" from on high. You know you want to
I was there: Sarah Lacy sucked so bad, it was painful to watch. Her questions were incoherent. She interrupted, she was unfocused and then when the audience turned on her justifiably, she got all girly-hurt. She had no business being on that stage, and she was lucky people no longer carry rotten fruit and vegetables to performances or she would've left a sloppy mess. Come to think of it, she IS a sloppy mess.
Mbites calls this link bait
@baudelaire - I watched the video, and with respect I don't think she was any of those things, or at least any worse than many other interviewers I've seen.
I've given my thoughts post interview here: http://tinyurl.com/2ct4qe @Sam re link bait - in my defence, I thought this was shoddy mob behaviour and felt it needed saying - not because of Ms Lacy per se but because its a trend I abhor - and if it garners traffic, so be it |
