Who would have thought it...the first real commercial application of a
Turing Machine* on the Web is a
SleazeBot that chats up women to get their phone numbers for a spot of identity fraud, possibly even with benefits.
A Russian website called CyberLover.ru is advertising a software tool that, it says, can simulate flirtatious chatroom exchanges. It boasts that it can chat up as many as 10 women at the same time and persuade them to hand over phone numbers.
Now, women have complained through the ages about how lame most men's chat up routines are - and clearly they were right, as this automation shows. FlirtBot is designed to chat up said babes, and it can even do online sex routines apparently - talk about a Web Service:
"Not a single girl has yet realized that she was communicating with a program!" it said, adding that the program could also simulate virtual sex online.
Well, there's not that much competition out there, I hear some women among you say
Mind you, I don't know whats worse - that men through the ages use chat up lines so lame that they become the first niche application of a commercial Turing Machine, or that women through the ages respond well enough to hand over their phone numbers and possibly other favours at the drop of a "do you come here often...."
"It's happened - a program to tempt girls over the internet!" said the site. "Within half an hour the CyberLover program will introduce you to ... girls, exchange photos and perhaps even a contact phone number," it states.
A spokesman for PC Tools said the program had a "terrifyingly well-organized" interaction that could fool users into giving up personal details and could easily be converted to work in other languages.
* Mind you, Porn has driven everything else on the web so why not AI?
