We've been working with UK personal finance company Interactive Investor for some months on helping them add to their existing Web assets for the emerging broadband media world.
As part of this project, today the first Vodcast of their financial news service iBall went live. Check it out

Quite simply, the Financial Media in today's world are not just the Press and TV reporters generating content, it also now comprises the companies that are experts in the sector generating their own content.
(This also marks the emergence of an interesting halfway house between "User Generated" content and traditional mainstream media content. In the past, the economics of the specialist company showcasing its knowledge in a broadcast video format would have made it unthinkable, but the impact of the overall Web TV technology means that not only can plays such as Joost et al serve existing content down these new pipes, but new content provision such as iBall will be created to serve these new markets.)
In projects like this, much of the hard work is behind the scenes in the infrastructure, and the heroes and heroines are largely unsung - so its always fun to see very visible evidence of things happening.)
In the time we have been working with Interactive, its been interesting how the Personal Finance 2.0 sector has come on, with startups winning awards at both Seedcamp and the TechCrunch40 competitions. Proof indeed that the Web 2.0 "New Media" is extending way beyond the traditional Media itself.
We also see this as a logical progression to blogging, as the broadband world can move us from text to video
(Interactive have also been running up a high end financial news blog
