DRM / IP

This is an amazing paper by Cory Doctorow.....confirms everything we suspected about DRM. (thanks to Confused of Calcutta for the link)

Should be read in conjunction with this study we blogged about here showing DRM destroys value.

As readers of this blog will know, we think DRM won't work medium term for commercial reasons (who is realistically going to keep on buying something with DRM....) - but when you read about how it is created above you realise it just can't work - there are just too many parties with strong interests in breaking it.
