This shows how the internet wins because, er..., it got there first with a version of the news that was wrong in a crucial aspect (the seriousness of the injury)?
Given that the initial coverage was so wrong, this seems a very odd hook on which to claim victory for the internet.
I'm still yet to see any really good arbitrage services coming up. Clearly when there is real time reporting of news that moved markets rather than just what contestants on XFactor are wearing, we may see the investment in this sector to make movement.
Whilst I'm not denying that changes are on their way, right now, I think Tiger Woods will testify that the average fire hydrant is more dangerous to the average reporter than Twitter.
