So there has been a fair amount of mobile stuff here at SXSW (and there's also my panel tomorrow at 2). But there's still not enough, in comparison to the opportunity the mobile medium provides. We'll work with organizers to redress this next year. Also, watch out for mobile2.0 2007 coming up later this year and hopefully more mobile content at the Web2.0 summit as well. We're making inroads.
My impression is that the US is catching up fast, but mobile operators are still more draconian here than they are in Europe about allowing access to off-portal content.
There seemed to be a bit more later, as you say - but still small compared to the size of the market. Interesting.
