Nice observation; it's also about reading the broader signs. But in terms of aiming for (what's called) accuracy in verifying the realtime reportage, that's quite something - unless everyone makes more personal data publicly available on these networks [aka not a good idea in this situ - and possibly generally]. So how to bridge the gap?
How to bridge indeed. I think we are the absolute infancy of this stuff.
