I think you paint a really realistic picture of what we can expect next and I agree - anybody who isn't deploying video really should consider doing so. With it being on every company's own dime, the possibilities are endless with what you can do and it only adds to experience for the users. I don't think it takes Web 2.0 for all of us to remember that sticky users are good
I think you raise a really good point, too, about devices being the users choice. I think we can very much expect IP ready televisions soon (it was in the WSJ a few months ago, as part of a comcast article I believe) but also we'll be able to watch all kinds of things all over the place if we want to. I think that's cool.
Patricia I looked at your site, I think that clothing is a classic app for Video.
Re TV...I have hooked up my PC to my flat TV and played YouTube on the full screen, sound over the hifi. Pic is not wonderful but the content is my choosing so very relevant and teh sound is great - totally different experience to seeing it on PC
^ thank you. I thought so too back in January of this year thinking by now it'd have amazing traction but my business partner didn't agree. I'm doing other things elsewhere now, would love to share.
Did you read about that comcast article where it talked about internet ready tv development? I will try to find for you - I'm so excited that you have a solution you're working with - I didn't know and that's cool. I feel so enlightened and here it is just my first day on your blog! |
