Alan - when I look at the programme I see that there are many of the same faces I could have seen at LeWeb in 2005, 2006, 2007 plus a smattering from FOWA, Office 2.0 etc saying much the same things.
I did NOT say it was a repeat of last year. One thing I CAN tell you - I've been saying that underpinning startups with advertising is a road to hell since 2005. Reminiscent of Mary Meeker's eyeballs arguments in 1997-8. Thoroughly discredited.
OK Dennis, point taken. Just felt I was probably the first speaker at one of these things to the emperor/clothes thing (given that I had to submit this a long time pre crunch).
