Given that we are minutes away from the potential End Of The World, with CERN's Large Hadron Collider about to start up in 5 minutes.....

Fortunately, although scientists once believed black holes' inescapable gravitational forces meant they'd grow inexorably, renowned physicist Stephen Hawking later countered with the view that energy can in fact leak away from black holes, causing them to effectively "evaporate."

Great news for the Swiss, who will have to clear up evaporating black hole

Update - 10 hours later, and as yet no black hole ecvaporation noticed. I thought I stepped on one earlier, but it turned out to be a word slug.
