Okay as I see it Privacy is not the third leg to Economy and Usability. When we all talk about Privacy we bandy the word around but no one actually understands what it means for each context but I digress.
Location based services when discussed fail to agree on the issue of Push or Pull. For me Location based works if its on a Pull basis. If im able to link my Social networks to my phone and in turn my trusted networks then there is huge power. If its based on Push then yes your right people are just not going to put up with another Monkey Punch.
Re Privacy - you're right, its vague - but a lot of peple (in user tests we've seen / done) get very uncofortable with others' expecting to know where they are
Re push / pull users like pull, advertsiers like push - service providers biz cases typically fail unless its opt-out near-spam (ie push) |
