I've never used del.icio.us (old school!) as a method of remembering bookmarks. For me, it's always been a way of discovering new stuff (by subscribing to friends' feeds) and of creating the "today's links" posts on my blog.
I book mark, I book mark quite a lot through Delicous. And I do go back to it. The same for sharing/starring on google. I have found I go back to stories and news and am able to search/collate news to draw new conclusions or to asses how something is evolving. If its not CSS webdesign tips then its making a airplane with houseflies or watching how adobe are at one point intgrating with open source and on another running a mile from it.
It gets used to pull up facts and add to stories. It can work but I suspect bookmarking works well if your in that mindset. |
